Health information

Some fusion-fit services require you to provide information about your health. Health information is classed as special-category personal data under UK data-protection law and receives additional protection.

Where health information is necessary to provide a service you have requested, I will only collect and use information that is relevant to that service.

Where required, I will ask for your explicit consent to process your health information. You may withdraw that consent, although this may mean that I am unable to continue providing a service where the information is necessary to provide it safely and appropriately.

Lawful basis for using your information

Where personal information is necessary to provide a service you have requested, I generally process it because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or to perform my contract with you.

In some circumstances I may process information because I have a legal obligation or a legitimate business interest in doing so.

Where I rely on explicit consent to process special-category health information, I will ask for that consent separately.

How your information is stored and shared

I take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and restrict access to it.

I may use trusted service providers to operate my business, for example website and form providers, email services, booking or payment providers and other administrative systems. These providers may process information on my behalf.

I do not sell your personal information.

I will only disclose personal information to another person or organisation where there is an appropriate reason to do so, such as where you have asked or authorised me to do so, where a service provider processes information on my behalf, or where I am legally required to disclose it.

Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this occurs, I will take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate data-protection safeguards apply.

How long I keep your information

I will retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services and meeting relevant legal, tax, insurance and professional record-keeping requirements.

The length of time information is retained may therefore vary according to the type of information and the service provided.

You also have the right to raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
